Given time and I imagine these things could become pretty powerful. If they can figure out how to make the beams stop a few feet out, then we've got ligthsabers. What do you think about these things being made available to the general public?

I want one. But honestly, at close range those things probably burn like crazy = not so good for public use. They could regulate them like guns, and have background checks and age limits to own one. It seems like something people would easily abuse.

As for as putting an end on it, I am sure it has a limited effective range already.

i checked out the site for these things and are you sure they are everyday use? they seem a little to powerful for the average joe.
