I'd have to see it in person to judge, thought the original Elite looked good in picture but then the black wasn't as bold as I hoped when I saw it in person.

With Sony and Microsoft's bulk orders an HDMI cable would only add 1-2 dollars tops to the BOM. There is no good reason no to include it.

Sony Does include it. Dunno why MS stopped including it with their console.

If your main competitor did not provide something for 4 years, and it never mattered, would you continue to take in the extra (albeit small) cost??

You know why MS stopped providing HD cables. It's great that Sony is providing HD cables now, and I agree that both parties should provide them, but I never recall you questioning why Sony never included anything but composite cables since the ps3 launched.

I have brought it a few times. If your selling a HD system why don't you provide HD cables. Doesn't make much sense.

That's a special bundle. Standard 250GB still comes with composite cables as well.

Regardless, while I don't agree with Revan's slanted view, I agree that both manufacturers should provide HDMI cables in the box, at least component in the very least.

I did get my HDMI cables off of Amazon for $1.03 and they work beautifully.

The funny thing about the Halo 360 is that while booting up and opening the DVD drive, Halo-specific sound effects are made.
