Inside the Halo 3 Project

Halo 3 is probably going to be the biggest game of 2007. So what’s it like to be a part of creating such an immense project, and how is the game coming along? Next-Gen wanted to know what it's like to be a part of that team.
Frank O’Connor has been working in the games industry for the best part of two decades. Like most of us, he’s had a hand in some projects that he can look back on with a flush of pride as well as others that, perhaps, he’d happily flush down the latrine.
Halo 3 doesn’t fit into either of these categories. It’s too monstrous to compare with the work-a-day humdrum stuff that makes up most careers. When it arrives this fall, it will likely redefine the term ‘blockbuster videogame’. You could argue that it will be the most important game of this console generation.
Frank goes on to say: “It’s a very slow, painful process but now we’re actually seeing the fruits of that and now you can look at the game moving and say, wow, this is the next generation Halo.”
