Guildford, UK – April 30, 2007 – Electronic Arts Inc., (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced the title for the revolutionary new Burnout™ videogame currently in development for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360™ videogame system. Players will be able to take their dangerous driving experience to a whole new level when Burnout™ Paradise is unleashed this winter.

Burnout Paradise proves that crashing is awesome! Next generation technology has enabled an unprecedented level of crash deformation allowing you to experience the most explosive pile-ups in the series’ history. Now the development team can realise their original vision for the Burnout franchise: an open world environment where you can do anything, anywhere, anytime!

Q4 2007 is all we know so far. PS3 is the lead platform for Burnout I believe. So my guess is PS3.

Burnout Paradise Screenshots:Retail Exclusive Cars

Here's a few more screenshots of a couple of cars in the upcoming Burnout Paradise, which feature the pre-order exclusive car and a GameStop car. Looks like cars may be downloadable from retail Xbox 360 kiosks once again, based on the looks of the GameStop car screens. When Burnout Revenge was released on the Xbox 360, several retailers featured downloadable content at their Xbox 360 kiosks (see here). The cars could be downloaded by using your Xbox 360 Memory Unit in the kiosk. With kiosks rarly being updated by the stores and problems in transferring the data to Xbox 360s, the cars were eventually released as free downloads over the Xbox Live Marketplace. No confirmation on how this will work in Burnout Paradise.

The pre-order exclusive car, Steel Wheels, can be obtained via an email code or a card from Gamestop when you pre-order the game.
