I know VF 5 developers said if Online doesn't run at 60FPS. We are not adding that feature. Be interesting to see how it turns out. Will it be another Saints Row online or will it be lag free?

You can never get rid of lag completely. I'd guess it'll be like DOA4, which is supposed to run at 60fps normally. Online it's great most of the time, but it does sometimes slow down and if you get a really bad connection it can become unplayable.

Are they going to add any of this the PS3 version? People are looking at this as a slap to Sony, but I don't see why they wouldn't patch it in.

the game will run at 60fps online just like DoA4 does and there is no way to get rid of lag entirely with the technology we have in massive use today. there will be hiccups but it should still be playable.

the way DoA 4's (and ultimate's) net-code works is the game establishes an almost direct connect with the fighter you are currently against. this is why you will see a seperate connection rating for everyone in the room and why some people will lag with one person while another fighter will be lag free with that same person. it all depends how the two fighters connect up. i think this is one of the best ways to handle a fighter online to be honest.

as for the ps3 version being updated, i hope it does happen, but i dont see it becoming a reality. last i time i checked VGcharts, the game sold around 200k, which is hardly a large enough install base to update on.

not to mention that if sega were to do this, they would have to provide their own servers, which would more then likely be sub-par to MS' and Sony's servers thus creating lag which is something that the devs want to avoid as much as possible.

Haha. That was quite funny. Maybe a bit on the harsh side but it was quite clever.
