| European Xbox 360 Price Cut Confirmed |
Last week, we told you about the rumored European price cut,
which was expected to have the Xbox 360 Arcade’s current price of
£199.99 to something closer to £170. Well, today Amazon unofficially
confirmed this price cut after it dropped the price of all Xbox 360
editions. The Xbox 360 Arcade is now available for as low as £149.99,
while the Premium is on sale for £189.99 and the Elite for £249.99.
With this price drop, the Xbox 360 is now cheaper than a Wii, which costs £179.98 in the U.K.
Are these price cuts anticipating a price drop for North America?

The German edition of the Financial Times says
the Xbox 360 Arcade will now be available for €199, that's € 50 cheaper
than the Nintendo Wii. The Premium edition is also supposed to get a
price cut and it is expected to sell for €299 (a €40 price drop)
