The new name, submitted by California resident Dante Padre as one of over 3000 entries in Gamepro.com's contest to rename the exhibition, is said to reflect the expo's 'openness and accessibility to the public,' in comparison to E3's previous industry-only restrictions.

The October E for All Expo, taking place October 18-20 at the Los Angeles Convention Center - previous site of the former E3 - will, according to IDG, build on "momentum and pent-up demand that has grown within the consumer audience for all things related to computer and video games," and "launch an early holiday shopping season for the industry."
